About Westgrain Studio
Westgrain Studio is a small one man operation, based in the small town of Queenstown on the West Coast of Tasmania, specialising in unique, creative, and artistic woodwork. The 'one man' behind the work is myself Oliver, my woodworking journey began in high school, where I was privileged to have some special hard-art teachers who inspired me and kick started my obsession with wood. After highschool I started working in a timber yard and joinery shop in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, here I was exposed to the art of machining and high end joinery and embedded my passion for wood. Over 13 years since I was an impressionable kid in high school, my woodworking is still developing and growing this space is an opportunity for myself to continue to develop and for you to come along for the ride with me.

The person behind the work is myself Ollie, an avid worker of wood for over a decade. My journey with wood began in high school, where I was lucky enough to have some special hard-art teachers who inspired me and kick started my passion for wood. After highschool I worked in a timber yard which was partnered with a joinery joinery shop, here I was exposed to the art of machining and high end joinery and allowed me to hone my skills. Over 13 years since I was an impressionable kid in high school, and Westgrain studio is all part of the continuation of my woodworking journey.
